'Out' is a 51 x 61cm oil on canvas as part of a series of paintings focusing on the depiction of figures underwater.
Swimming can be used as a type of therapy - a way to feel uplifted and emotionally lighter. This series aims to capture that incomparable feeling of freedom, and to portray the fluid movement of water and distortion of light, colour and form when looking through it.
